What inspired you to write this book?
Researching my lineage for Descendants of the Mayflower lead to a discovery of witches in my family. As I went back in time I found lots of Kings and Queens. I researched back to Clovis I King of Merovingians and Found myself intrigued with the time period and the dynasty. This was the beginning of The Witch’s Rebirth Series: Witches, Kings and Queens and ancient periods of intrigue, mystery and paganism.
What can we expect from you in the future?
I am finishing some Children’s books for Christmas right now. But the fantasy with Merona and Murdach will continue as the Merovingian dynasty goes through battles of the thrones of the long haired Kings.

Clovis I is my 47th Great Grandfather

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?
The Labyrinth of Shadows for the first book concept is from a hike in Virginia when I stumbled upon the Labyrinth in the woods.
Where did you come up with the names in the story?
I had been searching for a name for the first book and this seemed perfect for Part I. Labyrinth’s can be a part of a spiritual awakening. Much like Merona in the story she is awakened in the Labyrinth of Shadows.
The Rebirth subtitle is part of my belief in reincarnation and rebirth. As a Registered Nurse I have seen lots of things that can’t be explained when it comes to near death experiences of patients. I have experienced a near death experience myself and love exploring themes of rebirth.
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
The research for historical books that are based on true events takes a great deal of time. I loved finding new information about the timeline the stories are written in and adding the fantasy element.
Tell us about your main characters- what makes them tick?
How did you come up with the title of your first novel?
Who designed your book covers? My publisher designed the covers. They didn’t listen to me and changed my original vision of the covers.
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
I would have changed the covers for the books. I don’t think I would change anything in the books because this is the process of learning and growing as an author.
Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?
Yes premarketing is vitally important. ARC’s and BETA readers are very helpful to find any key elements that may need to be changed or developed to enable the book to succeed to a broader group of readers.
If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?
Amy Adams would be amazing in the first chapter Anna in Copenhagen, Denmark that gets burned at the stake for witchcraft. She is then reborn as Merona.
Ryan Whitney for Merona as an adult for the rest of the books.
Anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Without readers Authors would cease to exist. Being an Indie Author out here floating alone on a life raft is the craziest thing I have ever done. But I wouldn’t change a thing. Please take the time to read my books and go on this journey with me! Let’s see what it takes to make you love me:)
