End of the Month Update with a Sneak Peek!

 Hi everyone.

Hard to believe it is Thursday, already. It seems like these weeks are running into each other and a new month is already about to start again. I’ve been busy these last few days since my last update. Finished chapter 2 in “The Emerald Knight,” and started chapter 3. Loving the direction it is going in right now and hope to keep the momentum going over the next week.

Sadly, my free days are ending. School will be out on the 4th of June. And of course I have a ton of doctor appointments for my kids and myself this week. Ben is going to start his schooling again on the 2nd of June. I’m excited for him but worried how the kids will adjust to his new schedule. Did I mention he got a promotion at work? Yeah, a whole new work schedule to get used to. But it should work better with him being in school. Hopefully, the boys don’t mind it as much.

As for June I have a lot of things planned for the month. My goal is to write in my free time and get this book done as soon as possible. Since I got my groove back and ideas flowing I should be able to write this one in a month or more. A lot of it depends on my writing time I get available.

But I would like to share a snippet from what I have written so far. Hopefully, you enjoy it. This is Rachel’s perspective of both Lord Benedict and Lord Thomas when she first lays eyes on them.

****

Rachel stepped around a large man as the crowd grew around Arnold and his soldiers. She looked at the two men that Arnold was yelling at and couldn’t help but catch her breath. They were some of the most gorgeous men she had ever seen. The one on the right had shoulder length blond hair that curled around the edges. His eyes were bright blue with a rugged beard that wasn’t too long or too short. He had to stand about 6’2 and looked like he was of noble birth with the attire he wore. Rachel couldn’t help eyeing the white tunic encased in a fine leather vest with trousers that shaped muscular legs. She didn’t really go for blond guys but he could be the exception until her eyes locked on his shorter, darker companion. The man with dark flowing hair pinned back in a ponytail stood tall and stoic as he got bur-rated by Arnold. His face was slightly red with his eyes blazing fire as he glared down the quarter-master. Rachel eyes trailed from his morning shadow beard that graced his fine face and strong muscular arms she would die to have wrapped around her. But at the moment they waved violently as he defended himself against Arnold’s wrath. There were strong powerful legs hiding behind thick trousers with a black tunic that wrapped around his broad chest. She had to remind herself not to stare let alone drool over herself.

I hope you enjoyed this viewpoint from Rachel herself. Lord Thomas is a spirited man and tends to get in a lot of trouble through his younger years. I hope you look forward to more fun snippets from the book as I write. If you want to get updates on the regular make sure to subscribe to my blog or sign-up for my newsletter HERE

Life and How It is Going...

Hi everyone,

Thought I would drop in to do an update with you all. I have gotten little writing done over the last week. My mac book pro showed up, and I have been setting everything up on it over the last several days. Then I moved my blog from Wix to Blogger. It was a pain, but I got it done.

As for today I plan to work on my timeline for my world of Tarzinëa. This will help me understand the different time periods of the world and plot out the different books I want to place within it. Right now I am working on “The Emerald Knight.” Have made little progress after I axed the first few chapters and started over. But I love the new direction it is going and plan to continue on with it until the end.

I will try to do at least two updates a week here on The Dungeon Crawlers Blog. This most likely will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If I can’t make those days then I will work on getting things in order for the next week. Sometimes I won’t have much to share but I am building a world that will go over several series in total. I do not know. But it is an adventure. I am looking forward to writing. I hope you will hang on with me as I go on this wild ride.

Until Thursday I hope you all have a great start to your week. And I hope you have fun with your kids those that are lucky enough to have them home and out of school already for summer. We have to go until June 5th before summer starts in this household. Slowly, the days count down and I am not looking forward to the constant fighting among the boys.

Character Interview
with Roülle

Katie Jenkins-Merical — Greetings everyone. I would like to thank you Roülle for sitting down with me today. Could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

Roülle — Hi names Roülle (shrugs and scratched the back of his head) but I guess you already knew that. I guess I could share the basics. I'm the younger brother to Rikkin and we have been inseparable ever since a disastrous crime inflicted on our village. Things have been rough over the years but if it wasn't for the SwordMaster organization I don't know what we would have done.

Katie Jenkins-Merical — That is interesting. What exactly is the SwordMaster organization?

Roülle — It is where soldiers of high rank that have magical abilities go to train to hopefully line the ranks of SwordMasters around the world. The purpose for our organization is to keep the peace and help those in need. But I think sometimes my brother is stuck more in the past and seeks revenge more than peace for what happened to our family.

Katie Jenkins-Merical — Oh...what happened to your family?

Roülle — I don't like to talk about it that much. Back when I was a kid our village got attacked by some really nasty bandits. Rikkin tried to save those he could but he was just a kid. I think he holds a chip on his shoulder for failing to protect those that day. I know I sure do.

Katie Jenkins-Merical — That is horrible. I am so sorry you had to go through that. It must had made things hard between you two with dealing with survival and dealing with your grief.

Roülle — We dealt with it in our own way, I think. I kind of have this problem with partying and spending to much time down at the brewery. Rikkin on the other hand buried himself into his studies and training.

Katie Jenkins-Merical — What is something you would like to share with our readers before you go?

Roülle — Hang onto your family and pray to the gods that they will always be protected. I lost most of mine minus my brother. But if it wasn't for the people we come to live with we would have never found our new family amongst our friends. Sometimes the gods work in mysterious ways and I know for sure my test in my book is examples of that for sure. Hope you have a great week and I'm out. (Waves goodbye and leaves the room).

Katie Jenkins-Merical — Thank you everyone for stopping by our blog today to meet Roülle stay tuned for next week when we have another author from our box set "Beyond the Realms," feature a guest post of there own. Have a happy hump day!
