Hi everyone. Welcome to another Tuesday post with updates about my writing and reading so far this year. Hard to believe it is the beginning of August already. I’ve been in a rut with my reading ever since the year started until July. I bought the “Wolf Ranch Series” and the “Wind Rider Chronicles” series in paperback from the author’s websites. The “Wolf Ranch Series” consists of 9 total books. After last week I have officially finished all 9 in the series. I finished the 6 books in the “Wind Rider Chronicles” the week before. This means I read 15 books of different lengths over the last month. Which is pretty good since I was in a rut for the better part of the beginning of the year. Of the two series I would say I struggled with deciding which was my favorite. The “Wind Rider Chronicles” was by far a strong emotional journey over a period of several books that showed the strength in individuals and how faith can get you through the hardest of tests in life. But I also loved the “Wolf Ranch” series for its simplicity and sexy times. Plus, you fall in love with all the characters. The development between the beginning of the book to the end with each character creates a real depth to the writing.
You can check out the books I finished last week below. As for my writing I started the first chapter of Kero’s books. These books were supposed to be completed as full-length novels. But since I have a hard time getting longer projects done without getting distracted I am breaking them down into smaller books to share more of the story than I originally planned. As for “The Emerald Knight,” I am still on chapter 10 going into chapter 11. Rachel is finally on the ship but I have to do a fade to black romance scene while they look for the mysterious island. So, wish me luck with that.
As for PA stuff I've got all my social media accounts scheduled for August. It was a blast getting everyone set up and listening to music while I did it. Seems like time flies when you don’t really focus too hard on the work and just go with the flow of things.
Since this is the last month of Summer. Ben and I are working on getting the boys ready to start a new school, which means new friends. Zayne is concerned and Zeek has said nothing but if you all could pray for them to have a great first week, then that might help us a bit on the road to new things.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and enjoys these three books I finished from the “Wolf Ranch Series”.

Wolf Ranch Series Book 7
by: Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale
BLURB:
PACK RULE #7: PACK SECRETS MUST BE KEPT
I’m supposed to erase her memory, not claim her.
My son’s date knows too much. The most important rule of the pack has been broken: She's seen him shift. The alpha orders me to make her forget, but one hint of her scent and I know the truth—this human is MINE.
Riley’s half my age. She has her whole life in front of her. If I claim her, I lock her into a fate she never even imagined. Besides, she thinks I’m a player–only out for one thing.
I should stay away. Should let her go. But Riley is too sweet, too beautiful, and far too mine.
Now she’s caught between our two worlds—one side thinks we should steer clear of each other. The other wants a forever bond…either way, she’ll suffer the consequences.
She doesn’t understand the bond between us, but I can’t protect her without it. When danger comes for her, she has to trust me to keep her safe—the wolf who was born to be hers.

Wolf Ranch Series Book 8
by: Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale
BLURB:
PACK RULE #8: NEVER LIE TO YOUR MATE.
I broke that rule the day I showed up on her doorstep.
I’m sworn to protect my kind from any kind of threat.
As a human, she thought I was there on friendly business.
Didn’t know I meant to take down her shifter boss.
I didn’t know she’d flip my world upside down.
One whiff of her scent, and I was lost. No–found.
I couldn’t leave without her. So, I spent the night. Made her fall for me.
But she doesn’t know what I am. What I’ve done.
I’m not just a ranch hand–I’m a shifter enforcer.
The clock is ticking before I have to finish the job.
I must win my mate’s heart and claim her before the lies catch up to me.
Before she finds out what I am and what I have done.
Or what I will do to keep her safe.
And mine.

Ravenous
Wolf Ranch Series Book 9
by: Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale
BLURB:
PACK RULE #9: FATE COMES SECOND FOR A SINGLE DAD
I didn’t move to Cooper Valley for love.
I’m here to raise my daughter in peace, work at Wolf Ranch, and keep my wolf on a tight leash.
Because I don’t have time for distractions. Or complications. And definitely not both in the form of a female.
Joy is my new next-door neighbor—sweet, sexy, and entirely off-limits.
She always has a messy bun and a laugh that melts steel.
She makes my little girl giggle like I’ve never seen before.
She makes me burn with need.
She’s sunshine. I’m thunderclouds.
I tell myself I’m too gruff, too brooding, too busy being a father to want her.
But my wolf doesn’t care about rules. He thinks she belongs to him.
He knows she smells like fate… and tastes even better.
How can I stay away? In the end, it seems fate will decide for me.
Fun concepts! Probably a little too steamy for me, but I do love paranormal.
