Progress with Writing and Reading :)

Hi everyone. It’s been a week since my last check-in with you. I am writing again. This was put on hold because of client projects piling up, doctor appointments, and book distractions. This last week I have gotten more words down in “The Emerald Knight.” Still not sure about the chapter I have written so far. Ended up going back a chapter and re-writing it to see if I could get it to sound better than the original. So far, I like it and it seems to appease my writing muse.

As for reading I have been reading a lot again. I have been stuck between two series that I bought in paperback from the authors own websites. I hit on this last week with the first books I devoured in the two series over the last several weeks. Well, this week I read another three books to add to my belt of completed books in this series. I would say that I am very distracted by Allison D. Reid’s books. They keep screaming to me to read them, and I hope you would give them a shot.

The books I read this last week are “Wolf Ranch: Ruthless”, “Wind Rider Chronicles: Into the Shadow Wood”, “Visions of Light and Shadow”, and now I am in “Shards of Faith”. Each book is really exciting in its own way but I am enjoying The Wind Rider Chronicles more because they are actually a series that feeds off each book.

I hope you pick up one of these books or some of the first ones I read from the series to try them. They are amazing books by amazing authors and I love them immensely. I wish only I could write as well as they do. Yeah, talk about feeling inadequate compared to these two authors. Probably because I feel like my style of writing is nothing compared to theirs.

I will try to write a post for Thursday with a sneak peek from “The Emerald Knight” for this Thursday. Just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the little things life brings you.

Ruthless
Wolf Ranch Series Book 6
by: Renee Rose & Vanessa Vale

BLURB:

PACK RULE #6: KEEP HUMANS AWAY FROM PACK LAND.

My alpha told me to get rid of her.

Make nice and find out if she’ll sell her property.

Keep her from bringing more humans close to our land.

But before I even met her, I caught her scent.

The moon’s full, and I had to follow it. I couldn’t stop myself.

I ran straight into human territory, onto her property. Found her bathing naked in the moonlight and showed her my wolf.

Now all bets are off.

My alpha may want her gone, but I need her to stay.

In fact, I’ll do anything to make sure she never, ever leaves.

Visions of Light and Shadow
The Wind Rider Chronicles Book 4
by: Allison D. Reid

BLURB:

It has been six months since Cailean's death, and Elowyn can't get his special clifftop in the mountains out of her thoughts…or her dreams. Something is drawing her there, despite the danger, and time is running out. The new spring growth is threatening to cover what's left of his foot trail forever, but getting there is going to be more challenging than she imagined, especially with the thieves still lurking along the mining road.

Morganne is having difficulties of her own. The monks are making plans to send the tomes away, Braeden's tax demands are increasing yet again, and Morganne's once prosperous shop has been noticeably empty. On top of that, the Kinship is getting ready to leave Minhaven—seemingly for good this time.

With political unrest building, and the Black Shrine still intact, Glak and Bane want the girls to go with them. Elowyn is eager to leave her sorrows behind, certain that Aviad is calling them to follow the road beyond Minhaven, but Morganne isn't so sure. She's not ready to abandon everything they know for an uncertain future, and Elowyn finds herself at a crossroads. Will she be able to convince Morganne that it's Aviad's voice she is hearing, or will she be forced to go on alone?
