Getting back on the Horse!

Hi everyone.

Hard to believe its been another week let alone another month. July is coming to an end and August is right around the corner. I am happy to say I have been writing the last few days since the boys are gone. They will be back on Wednesday sometime with Ben. Looking forward to seeing them again. It's been about two weeks and I miss them.

I planned to write a lot over the two weeks the boys were gone at their Gram Gram's house, but turns out I didn't get much done until right when they were about to come home. It took me awhile to write Chapter 10 in "The Emerald Knight." It kept making me re-think how I wanted the chapter to go, so I stepped back from the writing for awhile and did some reading. Then it came to me. I finally finished Chapter 10 in "The Emerald Knight". Now I am moving on to Chapter 11.

During this process I have been reading. This last week I only finished two books. They were "Shards of Faith," and "The Realm Beyond the Storm," by: Allison D. Reid. The last several weeks I have been talking about Allison's series and I finally got to the last available book. It isn't the last book in the series yet. Which means I better get her writing so I can have another one of her books to read.

But anyway I loved her style of writing. This lead me to want to better my own writing. I usually start off with amateur sentences and feelings with my chapters. Then I go back in and add surrounding details and further character thoughts and development. This is what I have been doing with "The Emerald Knight." We will see if it turns out good when I send it to Allison for editing.

I do want to state that I officially figured out where I wanted to start with my Princess Kero books. The first chapter is 2k words in and I plan to make my chapters way longer to make them more interesting. I plan to work on each chapter at different periods of time with Allison. This means I won't release the books for awhile. I want to have at least two books written before I start releasing them. But I also plan to write other books in my Tales of Tarza series. So I will be going back and forth between these two different time periods within the world.

Hopefully you will go along for the ride with me and enjoy this time with me as I journal things out here on my blog. I will at times share sneak peeks of books I am working on to keep you enticed.

Read on to check out the two final books in Allison's collection for her "Wind Rider Chronicles." I love the fact she didn't leave on a cliff hanger with the final book. But keeps you wanting to read more. You just have to wait like I do for the next one to come. Good thing I have her email and can nudge her along through the journey. Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope you have a great week.

Before Morganne and Elowyn were born, Broguean took on the greatest quest of his life.

The Realm Beyond the Storm
Wind Rider Chronicles Book 6
by: Allison D. Reid

Blurb:

The war has been raging for three long years, though the Kinship believes it is far from the front. But Elowyn has a disturbing vision—one in which her worst fears become a terrifying reality: the tower is under attack by Beasts, and she, Morganne, and Adelin are fleeing with the relic…alone.

Braeden has been desperately searching for something in the nearby ruins of Solis. The shadows have settled there, enveloping the mountains in a darkness that feels like a living presence to Elowyn and Glak. Beasts guard the pass, attacking any who come near, and the Kinship is cut off from Minhaven. Elowyn worries that Braeden is looking for her, and more importantly the relic, but Morganne isn't so sure. She has discovered that Solis was not the remote and insignificant place she'd assumed it to be. The monks who once lived there were hiding something worth dying to protect—something that was perhaps as important as the relic itself.
