End of the Month Update with a Sneak Peek!

 Hi everyone.

Hard to believe it is Thursday, already. It seems like these weeks are running into each other and a new month is already about to start again. I’ve been busy these last few days since my last update. Finished chapter 2 in “The Emerald Knight,” and started chapter 3. Loving the direction it is going in right now and hope to keep the momentum going over the next week.

Sadly, my free days are ending. School will be out on the 4th of June. And of course I have a ton of doctor appointments for my kids and myself this week. Ben is going to start his schooling again on the 2nd of June. I’m excited for him but worried how the kids will adjust to his new schedule. Did I mention he got a promotion at work? Yeah, a whole new work schedule to get used to. But it should work better with him being in school. Hopefully, the boys don’t mind it as much.

As for June I have a lot of things planned for the month. My goal is to write in my free time and get this book done as soon as possible. Since I got my groove back and ideas flowing I should be able to write this one in a month or more. A lot of it depends on my writing time I get available.

But I would like to share a snippet from what I have written so far. Hopefully, you enjoy it. This is Rachel’s perspective of both Lord Benedict and Lord Thomas when she first lays eyes on them.

Rachel stepped around a large man as the crowd grew around Arnold and his soldiers. She looked at the two men that Arnold was yelling at and couldn’t help but catch her breath. They were some of the most gorgeous men she had ever seen. The one on the right had shoulder length blond hair that curled around the edges. His eyes were bright blue with a rugged beard that wasn’t too long or too short. He had to stand about 6’2 and looked like he was of noble birth with the attire he wore. Rachel couldn’t help eyeing the white tunic encased in a fine leather vest with trousers that shaped muscular legs. She didn’t really go for blond guys but he could be the exception until her eyes locked on his shorter, darker companion. The man with dark flowing hair pinned back in a ponytail stood tall and stoic as he got bur-rated by Arnold. His face was slightly red with his eyes blazing fire as he glared down the quarter-master. Rachel eyes trailed from his morning shadow beard that graced his fine face and strong muscular arms she would die to have wrapped around her. But at the moment they waved violently as he defended himself against Arnold’s wrath. There were strong powerful legs hiding behind thick trousers with a black tunic that wrapped around his broad chest. She had to remind herself not to stare let alone drool over herself.

I hope you enjoyed this viewpoint from Rachel herself. Lord Thomas is a spirited man and tends to get in a lot of trouble through his younger years. I hope you look forward to more fun snippets from the book as I write. If you want to get updates on the regular make sure to subscribe to my blog or sign-up for my newsletter HERE
